Dogsaunt Art
Dogsaunt are a group of artists who sell modern art and sculpture to a commercial and corporate client base. They sell very well and have an enviable number of red dots next to artworks at the end of their shows. We developed this online store using the very latest ecommerce technology for the WordPress environment so they could also sell works outside of their main exhibitions. We visited their studio with a mobile lighting set-up to photograph many of the pieces ahead of their most recent exhibition.
Olli Group Builders
Premonition designed the new Olli Group website, adding a very significant bespoke back-end estimates and invoicing system. We also took a lot of the photographs for the site which meant we had to spend time with the Olli team on various sites. They look like they’re having fun but they certainly get the job done.
Storey Communications Identity and Responsive Web Site
Identity and Responsive Web Design for Storey Communications
Storey Communications is a new communications training organisation launched by the veteran ‘comms’ expert, Campbell Storey. We developed a new identity for the brand, and designed a responsive website which adapts itself to work across desktop, tablet and mobile spaces.
The identity process
We conducted a thorough briefing with Storey’s, helping us to gain an understanding of the direction of the company and helping them clarify how they wanted it to be represented. We discussed:
- Products and services
- Historical background and state of the market
- Strengths and achievements
- Competitive positioning
- Goals for the campaign
- Target audiences and their demographics
- Clarifying the message
- …and more.
After this thoroughgoing analysis, we researched graphic design ideas to get an idea of how Storey’s felt their organisation should be represented visually. We used mood boards like the one below as a springboard to discuss various design ideas and, through these discussions, get a real handle on the sort of things that would work for Storey Communications.
Then we came up with some logo design concepts:
The logo on the right was the chosen and after some very minor tweaks, we had the new logo for Storey’s:
Dutchie Ecommerce Site
The stylish dutch bicycle company Dutchie’s ecommerce site. In order to provide the fantastic lifestyle visuals on the site, we cracked out the dSLRs for a location photoshoot with a stylist and a couple of models and spent a sessions in the studio with the bikes themselves for the product shots. Modeling by the irreplaceable Piia Anteroinen. As well as content management and fantastic design, the site features online sales.
CD cover, A Child is Crying
Cover for a fund-raising CD for an anti-child abuse appeal. A number of photographs of these twin girls were combined to produce these ghostly images. The overall concept came from the client and Premonition came up with the artistic treatment, staged the photoshoot and performed the digital manipulation.
Keeping Children Safe
Premonition designed and printed this guide for aid agencies working with children in emergency situations. The guide is produced by ‘Keeping Children Safe’, a coalition of major aid agencies and NGOs including Oxfam, NSPCC, Plan International, CAFOD, Tearfund, Save the Children and others. Laminated throughout, the guide is designed to be hard-wearing in difficult environments and information is presented clearly and concisely for people in a hurry. Illustrations by the Prince’s Drawing School Alumni Aaron Matheson.
Campaign for Change
We designed and illustrated this A5 leaflet for the English Secondary Students Association.
Lambeth Palace Brochure
Lambeth Palace is the official residence of the Archbishop of Canterbury. We were commissioned to design the brochure for visitors to this historic building. The design is very clean while also being classic and just a bit ‘aged’. We were also asked to take photographs of a number of interior views and details where suitable pictures were not available in the archive. Premonition directed the pictures of the Atrium and Blue Room in the spreads above which were taken by Prudence Cuming Associates. The Guard Room, Chapel and all the smaller photos were taken by Premonition.
SCUK Illustrated Textbook
A lavishly illustrated children’s book designed in close co-operation with the copywriters so that suitable illustrations and lay-outs were devised for every page. Everyone involved considered it a great success and this was the start of a continuing relationship with a number of people at Schools Councils UK. Several years later we are working on different projects with the author of this guide and the then-CEO who now heads an organisation producing educational material about climate change.
